It’s the diving catch at the end zone as camera flashes before your eyes, and the game clock ticks down to zero. You stand up heroically pointing to the stands at your father, your team mates running over to congratulate you as you just won the state championship for your school.

It’s the sweet “swoosh” sound that’s familiar to you as you sink the winning shot against your cross town rival. Everyone and everything seems to move in slow motion. In the distance, you see your coach nods towards you as he gives you a “thumbs up”. What a way to end your Senior Year.

It’s the smell of your favorite mitt, as you bring the ball up past your head and release the meanest curve ball. The batter swings hard and misses hard too. The umpire yells strike as you just pitched a perfect game. Suddenly, it’s showering mitts as your team doggie piles you with joy and happiness. Deep down in the pile, you see a ray of light pass through and think, “Some day this feeling will happen again, and when it does I’ll be playing for my favorite Major League Baseball team, but for now I’m in it… I’m in the game.”
